A Little Piece of Mine

I took my first road trip on a blazing red Malvern Star bike. Admittedly, I only went as far as the mailbox (also red) on our small wheat farm but that seemed a long way at eight. I still have a bike but these days it’s black, to match my sense of humour and a lot of my shoes. Along the way from outback Australia to Sydney, from 15 years in Paris and four years in Peru and now back again in Sydney, I’ve collected a BA in Journalism and an MA in Applied History and worked as an editor on cookbooks, books and news websites, sub-editor on newspapers and magazines, copywriter, public relations boffin, and food and travel writer. My work has appeared in glossy mags – Elle Cuisine, Australian Gourmet Traveller, House & Garden, the Qantas magazine The Australian Way; websites, coffee-table books (The Road Less Travelled, Ultimate Food Journeys) and guidebooks – The Eyewitness Guide to Peru, TimeOut Paris, The Virgin Guide to Paris, Time Out Paris Eating & Drinking;¬†and those crinkly old hand-held things called newspapers.
